More Veronica Mars speculation

So, after reviewing last night's episode, here are some things that jumped out at me.

In the teaser Weevil says that Logan isn't going to lay a hand on Veronica like he did on Lilly. Are we supposed to assume that someone hurt Lilly and Weevil assumed that it was Logan?

Aaron told Veronica that her secret (she and Logan) was safe with him, yet he did nothing to stop a full-scale reveal in front of all the '09ers. I think evidence is mounting to make a case for Aaron as a classic sociopath. Poor Logan, did anyone else notice that he was touching the place on his arm where Aaron grabbed him as he left the kitchen area?

I liked the Cuba references sprinkled in the episode. Hemingway is mentioned and there is a poster of Cuba on the wall of Veronica's room during her "you're the best dad" scene with Keith. I wonder if the same poster was in her old room. Did it subconsciously affect Duncan's choice of escape spots?

It was very clever to string the narrative reveal amongst so many of the 09'ers that we've seen as cases and/or antagonists throughout the season.

Poor Duncan. Talk about guilt piled on top of guilt. I suspected that he'd broken up so suddenly with Veronica because he'd been told that she was his half-sister. Celeste will use anything and everything to get what she wants.

Which brings me to my speculation. I don't think Logan was taping encounters in the pool house. If anything, I suspect that Lynn was taping trying to get videotaped proof of Aaron's indiscretions as ammunition in a potential divorce. I suspect that Lilly discovered the tapes. We know that Aaron has no compunction about sleeping with the wives of his friends and associates and we also know that Lilly was very happy about whatever secret she'd discovered. What would have made her happier than to discover that her mother had had an affair with Aaron? Leverage over Celeste would have been worth it's weight in gold to Lilly.

I don't think Veronica left the party because she thought Logan was taping them. I think she realized that Lilly had something hidden in the vent in her bedroom and she called the person who had already managed to sneak into Lilly's room this season. Instead of the smoking gun, we've got a smoking screwdriver, which also managed to look an awful lot like one of those GHB containers.

As for the potential incest, I think the fact that Duncan and Veronica had sex means that they will turn out not to be related. Which means that either Veronica is Keith's biological daughter or that Duncan is not Jake's biological son. Those DNA test results promise to be very intriguing. But, no matter what the test results show, Keith will *always* be Veronica's father. Their bond transcends biology.

Is it Tuesday yet?

This is all excellent speculation. I really do think that all of it makes a lot of sense. The hows and whys are to be revealed, but I think the culprit must be Aaron or Celeste, or a combination.

Good call on Lynn being the one who set up the cameras Angela. I never thought of that, but it makes perfect sense.

I can't WAIT until next week!

Oh! And what if Duncan is Aaron's son? Wow. That would complicate any D/V/L triangle a million fold. Hee.

But I do think that it will be proven that Veronica is Keith's daughter, and therefore, no incest, and the big cliffhanger will be about a potential triangle. I thought the fact that Duncan told Veronica he was still in love with her was a BIG deal. I read someone saying that it would be most satisfying for V & D to be back together, because it would mean she had completely reclaimed her life. I think this is nice, in theory, but I don't know if Duncan can handle Veronica anymore. She and Logan are much more suited now, I think. And I'm not just saying that because Logan is my new TV boyfriend. :)
