Someone please remind me

Why it is that I'm trying to get ready for a beach vacation with four kids when it would be soooo much easier just to stay home. Anyone? Bueller?

We're leaving imminently for a week at the beach with my mother-in-law. I'm taking along the laptop in the off chance hope that there might be a wireless connection, but chances are I'm incommunicado for the next week. So, please feel free to spam my journal with links to cool and interesting things that I might miss in the coming week.

Although, just between us, I kinda wish I'd gone through with my threat to send my husband off with the kids while I stayed home alone. *sigh* The amount of packing it takes for a week away from home with four kids and a spouse boggles the mind. If you have any stray good thoughts, feel free to send them my way in the hopes that insanity will be averted for a little while longer.

Must. Focus. On. Love. Of. Beach.

Spamming should commence, now! :)

You know, maybe my fascination is indicative of a latent desire to join the church. And here I thought I was just having fun putting double entendre on the church message board.

The Wrightsville sign you saw cracked me up, by the way. I love how God is all informal with His invitation. I imagine Mary Magdalene would stand at the screen door as you were leaving and holler, "Y'all come back now, hear?"

Does that mean that Martha would be muttering in the other room about how she was doing all the work and why does God keep inviting people over without realizing that?

The NT individuals work surpisingly well in a Southern Gothic reincarnation. Surprisingly and disturbingly well. lol
