Bad news for you Arrested Development watchers

Variety.com and other media outlets are reporting that the Arrested Development's episode order has been cut from 22 to 13. Looks like the show's luck might have finally run out. Kitchen Confidential is also being pulled for the rest of sweeps. Fox is going to air repeats of Prison Break in that block of time instead. I'm firmly adhering to the "no news is good news" approach on the VM front as far episode order is concerned.

I just saw this, too. I'm bummed about AD, but hopeing that KC's cancellation (deserved, I might add) might clear the way for a Bradley Cooper guest spot on Alias before that goes under, too.

I would certainly be happy to see Will turn up on Alias again. Just thinking about Will makes me smile. Stupid Sydney. Not appreciating what was right in front of her.

I know you're a PB fan Mel. Is it true that they aren't going to air new episodes until the summer of '06? That seems like a very strange strategy to me. Then again, this is Fox. Their programming strategy has never made sense to me.

My boyfriend is going to be SO upset. He LOVES AD. Sigh. I don't know how to break the news to him. He might cry.

Poor thing. I'd say that means that you're going to have to give massive amounts of TLC. Looks like a silver lining in the dark cloud to me. :)

Plus, it's very cool that you're casually throwing around "boyfriend" in conversation. Sounds like things are going well. :)

I read about this. I'm bummed about AD (it was fairly funny) but stoked that they are putting PB in reruns as a lead in. Good sign for PB.

Things are going well, thanks. :) And he almost cried. Unfortunately I told him on the phone. I'll have to make it up to him this weekend. ;)

I know that lots of people love PB, although I haven't ever watched it. But I've heard that Fox is holding the back half of the season until late next spring? Is that true? Because it seems like an odd programming strategy to me.

Very glad to hear that things are going well and I'm sure that you'll do a wonderful job making it up to him this weekend. :)

Yeah, just another example of idiot powers-that-be. I think their original idea is that PB is strong enough to carry until May and then become a strong summer show. But the problem is that with Fox yanking it just as the audience is getting really invested, the audience is going to turn and feel betrayed. Every critic, tv columnist and ent news magazine I've seen has said that this is a BAD idea by Fox. NO ONE is for it. I read in one report that a tv columnist is afraid of watching anything now for fear it is going to be yanked before its time.
