Quick book update.

#42 Proven Guilty by Jim Butcher. The latest intallment in the Harry Dresden universe. More magical mayhem in Chicago with a war in Faerie thrown in for good measure. Not quite as good as previous books, but still entertaining reading.

#43 is a favorite from my formative years. The Wishing Star by Norma Johnston. A young girl's coming of age story set in a small New England town at the turn of the century. I haven't reread this one literally in years and I still love it.

Only 7 more to go to fulfill the pledge.

It is the new Charlaine Harris. A fast read though I feel like I'm missing something. Normally she explains or reminds what happened in the previous book; not so in this book. I'm not digging that (since I can't remember exactly what happened in the previous book) but I'll muddle through to The End, I'm sure.

Is there Vampire Eric in this one? Because I do have a soft spot for him. Did he ever remember what happened when he stayed at Sookie's house with her? I'll definitely read it once my library gets a copy.

Eric is in DD, as is Bill.

I didn't remember Sookie telling Eric what happened at her house, but she says (a lot) in this book that he made her tell him though he doesn't remember any of it.

I could live without Bill ever coming back to be honest. He just rubs me the wrong way for whatever reason. Eric, on the other hand...;)

Just wait until you learn what Bill's motivation was for returning to Bon Temps. I think you'll hate him a little more....

Well, that sounds suitably ominous. I've always found Bill to be sort of weasel and I guess that isn't going to change. Where's a good staker when you need one? :)
