Vacation books

My total wasn't nearly as impressive as Kath's, but I did get a few new books read while we were in Michigan.

#63 is The Templar Legacy by Steve Berry. I liked the history, but found the characterizations to be a bit flat. I may check out the Romanov one for the history, but otherwise, I think I'm done with this author.

#64 is I Dreamed I Married Perry Mason by Susan Kandel. Kath, I did like this author. Loved the noir twists in this one as well as the descriptions of the clothes. I'll definitely check out the next in the series.

#65 is L'America by Martha McPhee. An atmospheric treatment of first all-consuming love set against the backdrop of an Old World (tradition) versus New World (ambition and recreation) divide. It's a rather haunting book particularly as the 9/11 attack is an undercurrent. I recommend it although it isn't a happily ever after sort of book.

Now, I really need to get some work done. Between vacation, reading Doctor Who fic and the above, the procrastination is getting to ridiculous levels.
