Because I haven't done one in forever

Yes, I'm avoiding the tedious freelance work I have to complete today. What of it?

It's nice to know that I apparently do deserve my high school diploma. Ah, affirmation. ;)

You paid attention during 100% of high school!

85-100% You must be an autodidact, because American high schools don't get scores that high! Good show, old chap!

Do you deserve your high school diploma?

Wow, you're an even bigger nerd than I am! I only got a 97%, and am still wondering what I got wrong.

No wonder I like you so much. Nerds rule.

Yes, I definitely belonged to the kingdom of Nerdonia. My guess is that it was the world religion question. That's the one that I had to stop and think about the longest anyway.

How is my vampire doing?

I think you may be royalty in Nerdonia. At least a countess.

Ciaran is making a resurgence, thankfully. I figured out why I got stuck -- I was trying to force the first meeting too soon. Brynn just wouldn't run right to him until she was sure what was going on. She hasn't survived for 700 years by being impulsive. So the first confrontation is getting pushed in favor of more research on Brynn's part.

However. Sultry vampires are currently taking a back seat to my NaNoWriMo novel, which is a sort of time travel story about a woman writing her dissertation on the works of a Russian nobleman/poet who was part of the Decembrists. She becomes infatuated with him and starts to see him everywhere. That was totally not what I had planned to write this month, but there you have it. Also, it takes place in Petersburg, so of course I'm enjoying that.
