(no subject)

I'm amazed by how depressed I feel over the results of the election. I didn't realistically expect Kerry to win, yet the crowing over a "mandate" sickens me. I feel marginalized and disenfranchised and I fear for the future of our country. The vision of America that the Republican Party apparently espouses is not an America I want to live in. I'm clutching my civil liberties tightly now, because I expect to have them wrest from me in this President's next term.
