I'd forgotten how surreal an experience driving is after a visit to the optometrist's office. All the lights had halos around them and while it was lovely site, it did make concentrating on operating the heavy machinery a little more difficult.
I'm pleased to report that there hasn't been any degradation in my vision in the last 3 years. I was actually surprised. But, they didn't have my frames in stock anymore and I had to pick out replacements. I found some, but I don't love them like I do my old ones. I was told that the manufacturing company had gone out of business. However, on a whim, I did a Google search when I got home and found a site that has them listed for less money than I paid for the new ones. Thus, I can justify buying them as well. I do love the internet. :)
All in all, I'd say the Ides of March have worked out pretty well for me this year.
