Initial reaction to Revenge of the Sith

Oh, so very tired yet thought I'd throw something up.

To call this cheese is an affront to dairy products everywhere. Totally didn't sell Anakin's conversion. And what was up with Anakin's hair? I had the urge to wash it every time he was onscreen during the first half of the movie. I much preferred the last one. As my friend and I agreed coming out of the theather, there's absolutely no need to ever see this one again.

Now, I'm going to bed so that I can get awakened in 4 hours and 17 minutes. Being abreast of pop culture takes a lot out of you. ;)

Night.

You had an urge to wash it? My urge was to comb it out. It just looked like a rats nest half the time - particularly from the back.

Definite cheese though - George Lucas can't write dialogue for the life of him.

I didn't think it completely sucked, but I didn't think it was great either ;) Can't see myself going to see it 10 bazillion times or anything.

And they didn't show us any trailers...so I'm sad about that ;)

We actually did get some trailers. The one for The Chronicles of Narnia looked quite good. There was also one for that Owen Wilson/Vince Vaughn wedding crasher movie, and Mr.and Mrs. Smith. Which is a weird cross section on the face of things. lol

I agree that the movie didn't totally suck. There were some good things, but on balance I just thought it wasn't that good.

But, hey, we were part of the cultural zeitgeist. Go us. ;)

mmm...yeah, I've seen the Narnia trailer on TV. It DOES look good :)

Yeah, not total suckage...but not great either. I don't think I was let down, oddly enough. I think I made a smart choice by not listening to the reviews and going in fearing being let down...because it could have been MUCH worse.

I mean, honestly, Jar Jar could have TALKED.

Oh, I wasn't let down either because that would have meant that I cared going in, which I really didn't. lol Never been a Star Wars fangirl and that's not going to change.

As for Jar Jar, I never saw Phantom Menace so I probaby don't have the same visceral fear of the character as the rest of the audience. ;)

I feel so justified in my decision to forego. :) Thanks.

It's okay from a spectacle point of view. I mean, it's definitely a big screen movie. But, by no stretch of the imagination is it a great movie. Happy to help in the decision-making process though. :)
