Let's see. These are going to be in no particular order and I'm going to cheat. :)
1. Possession by A.S. Byatt 2. A Swiftly Tilting Planet by Madeleine L'Engle 3. The Betsy-Tacy series by Maud Hart Lovelace 4. The Novels of the Company series by Kage Baker 5. a four way tie between Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson, Time and Again by Jack Finney, One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and The Eight by Katherine Neville
Top 5 favorite things about having kids
1. Their senses of humor. They make me laugh a lot. The six-year old particularly is the Queen of the Non sequitur 2. The love. No one loves as wholeheartedly and purely as a child. 3. Getting to share the things that I love with them. 4. Seeing bits and pieces of people that I've loved pop up in my children. 5. Again with the love. You love no one else the way that you love your child.
Top 5 songs from movies
Okay, this one is tough!! I don't necessarily associate songs with movies, so I'm going to cheat a little and pick songs that I first heard used in tv show soundtracks as well. Again, no particular order and off the top of my head.
1. Possession by Sarah McLachlan. I heard it for the first time in a Due South episode. 2. In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel *Love* that scene from Say Anything. (Sorry Mel.) 3. Everything by Lifehouse. First heard used in a Roswell episode. 4. The Way We Were by Barbra Streisand from the movie of the same name. Young Robert Redford in dress whites. Mmmm. 5. Ice Cream by Sarah McLachlan. Used to great effect in a Felicity episode.
