News from around here
Mar. 12th, 2006 06:34 pmOnce again, thank you to everyone for all the kind thoughts. They meant a lot to me. {{{hugs}}}
I'm happy to report that my sister was discharged from the hospital today. The biopsy results will take about a week and a half, but the surgeon was optimistic that everything was benign. She's pretty groggy and still in a fair amount of pain, but hopefully that will improve soon.
The contagion count at my house is now up to 3 kids with the flu and 1 with a sinus infection. M and N are doing much better, but E is pretty sick. He didn't get the Tamiflu (which costs a lovely $50 per prescription *with* insurance) like the others as he didn't start evidencing true symptoms until yesterday, so I'm afraid that his illness will have to run the traditional course. I'm not a fan of the 102.5 fevers and neither is he. It's amazing how much a 6'1" 14 year old becomes the little baby he used to be when he's sick. So far at least, G and I have avoided succumbing. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that continues to be the case.
In unrelated pleasant news, it was 82 and sunny here today. In my humble opinion, it doesn't ever have to get warmer than this. :)
