On the off chance that someone is interested

Here's a cool meme that I've seen floating around, most recently in the LJ of [livejournal.com profile] ww1614.

Ask me for "top five" lists of pretty much anything, and I will list you my top five of that thing or things.

Come one, come all. Step right up and ask away. :)

ETA The juxtaposition of the meme's content and the music that I was listening to at the time amuses me.

This IS a fun one. Hee. I'm going to do it too.

Top Five Movie Quotes.
Top Five TV moments.
Top Five places you MOST want to go.

More tough ones. lol Let's see.

Top Five Movies Quotes

This ended up being quotes from some of my favorite movies, but still, on with the show.

1. "As you wish."
2. "Come and see the violence inherent in the system! Help, help! I'm being repressed!"
3. "Wouldn't it be lovely if we were old? We'd have survived all this. And everything would be easy and uncomplicated, the way it was when we were young."
4. "Laugh while you can monkey boy."/"Remember, no matter where you go, there you are."
5. "Then why are you shaking?"
"I dont know. I think I'm happy."

With honorable mention going to "Toe pick" and "You are everything I never knew I always wanted".

Top Five TV Moments

Ugh, this is incredibly difficult. So, I'm going to go with things that have impressed me in recent years/months and I'm frightened to realize how much of a romantic sap I am. lol

1. Buffy kisses Spike in the Bronze.
2. John proposes to Aeryn.
3. Liz gets her wedding dance from FMax.
4. The Doctor gets his one day where "everyone lives" *and* he dances with Rose.
5. Logan tells off Dick and the '09ers and Veronica takes his hand in front of them.

Top Five Places I Most Want to Go

Finally, an easy one and in no particular order. :)

1. Switzerland
2. France
3. England
4. New Zealand
5. Ireland

I loved your number five for TV moments, I must say. It would count as one of mine too. That's why I love that show. It is just so damn SATISFYING. I hope it keeps on that way.

I recognized most of your quotes, but not 2 & 3. What are they from?

2. Monty Python and the Holy Grail from the scene when Arthur gets into a discussion of political systems with the two peasants. Also includes the classic "Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony." :)

3. The Way We Were when Katy and Hubbel's relationship is falling apart.

I hope that VM does keep maintain its incredibly high standards. Did you see that CBS is going to air 4 episodes? 2 on the 7/29 and 1 on each of the following weeks? I've seen Pilot and Echoll's Family Christmas for the 29th. I'm guessing that they're filling JoA's old spot.

I did see that. I think it's a great idea. An Echolls Family Christmas is a good one too. I think it's a great idea to only do mostly stand-aloneish ones. I think a lot of people were fooled into NOT watching the show because of the season long mystery arc, thinking if they missed one week, they'd be lost.
