Here's a cool meme that I've seen floating around, most recently in the LJ of
ww1614.
Ask me for "top five" lists of pretty much anything, and I will list you my top five of that thing or things.
Come one, come all. Step right up and ask away. :)
ETA The juxtaposition of the meme's content and the music that I was listening to at the time amuses me.

Top 5 favorite things about having kids
1. Their senses of humor. They make me laugh a lot. The six-year old particularly is the Queen of the Non sequitur
2. The love. No one loves as wholeheartedly and purely as a child.
3. Getting to share the things that I love with them.
4. Seeing bits and pieces of people that I've loved pop up in my children.
5. Again with the love. You love no one else the way that you love your child.
Top 5 songs from movies
Okay, this one is tough!! I don't necessarily associate songs with movies, so I'm going to cheat a little and pick songs that I first heard used in tv show soundtracks as well. Again, no particular order and off the top of my head.
1. Possession by Sarah McLachlan. I heard it for the first time in a Due South episode.
2. In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel *Love* that scene from Say Anything. (Sorry Mel.)
3. Everything by Lifehouse. First heard used in a Roswell episode.
4. The Way We Were by Barbra Streisand from the movie of the same name. Young Robert Redford in dress whites. Mmmm.
5. Ice Cream by Sarah McLachlan. Used to great effect in a Felicity episode.

Date: 2005-07-20 11:39 am (UTC)I'm wearing my last clothes that smell like France today, so it's on my mind. *g* While in Paris, I washed my clothes with the detergent I always used when I lived there, and it's very evocative. But after today . . . they'll all be washed again with my usual American detergent. Sense memories erased!

Date: 2005-07-21 09:35 pm (UTC)3. The Way We Were when Katy and Hubbel's relationship is falling apart.
I hope that VM does keep maintain its incredibly high standards. Did you see that CBS is going to air 4 episodes? 2 on the 7/29 and 1 on each of the following weeks? I've seen Pilot and Echoll's Family Christmas for the 29th. I'm guessing that they're filling JoA's old spot.
