Today's book

Book #16 Fashionably Late by Beth Kendrick. Another breezy read that admirably got me through the gap this afternoon between finishing lunch with my husband and picking the kids up from school. So much chick lit...

Although more serious titles are in the offing. :)

Also, I finally got around to getting Funeral by Arcade Fire and I really like it. Sadly, the new Franz isn't capturing my fancy as of yet but I'm going to keep trying. Couldn't Death Cab just play the entire concert? For me? That's not too much to ask is it? lol

You're 4 ahead of me!! Argh - Must. Catch. Up.

I think I was intrigued by the cover of FL or maybe that was another Beth Kindrick book....

It was a fun little read. I don't think I've ever read anything by her before. As for catching up, my kids aren't as little as yours which makes it easier for me to do other things, like read. So, no pressure. :)

I've been following your book pledge entries with interest. I, too, am something of a "category killer" when I'm reading, but I'm afraid my categories lately have been mostly of the fanfic variety. I'm not there yet, but you may be inspiring me to start thinking about actual books!!

Glad to hear you're enjoying Funeral. It's been one of my favorites of the past few months, although it's been on such heavy rotation in my car that I've found myself skipping the songs when they come up on my iPod. Guess it's time for a brief rest. ;-)

Category killing is definitely the way to go. All the cool kids are doing it. ;) How I wish that fanfic counted towards the pledge total. If it did, I'd have met my goal already. But, real books are fun too. Do you have any particular genres that you enjoy most? I could give you some titles to nudge you back to the printed page.

Yes, Funeral is very good. Any suggestions of something comparable for me to check out? I'm determined not to get stuck in a musical rut just because I'm becoming, ahem, more mature. lol
