Musings on motherhood

Life with kids is never boring, but the types of demands on your time definitely alter over the years. When they're little the needs are immediate and all-consuming. As they get older, they still need you for emotional support, but they *really* need you for the driving. lol Today E and J had to be at church by 7am to help out with a yard sale. Thankfully G took them on his way to work. I had to have M to his Cub Scout leader's house by 10:30 for a field trip, then drove with N in the car to pick up E and J. M then had to be picked up at noon. E has to be dropped off at the movies for a friend's birthday at 3:15 and J has to be dropped off at a friend's house for an birthday overnight at 5:00. E will have to be picked up at 6:30. That's just today. Fortunately, this is the first weekend in the last 4 that N doesn't have a birthday party to attend. It's a good thing that I love my iPod adaptor in my car. :)
Funny how I never pictured swapping hours holding and rocking for hours of driving hither and yon.
