Saturday is traditionally cleaning day at my house. Which means that I have to try and get the kids to do their chores with a minimum of complaining and backtalking. Some days are more successful than others in that regard, but today wasn't too bad. I managed to get everyone to make at least some contribution and while my house is now by no means clean, at least it's better than it was this morning.

Other things that got done today.

1. Sent off one of my freelance projects.
2. Edited the last chapter of the new manuscript for my author.
3. Scored a number of teacher assignments for my other freelance job.
4. Took the kids to the pool for an hour and a half.
5. Went to the library.
6. Got about six loads of accumulated laundry folded with another three waiting to be done later tonight. At that point, I'll be momentarily caught up with laundry at my house. We have to take a moment to appreciate the significance of that statement. 4 kids. A husband. Me. Laundry all caught up. It's a brief shining moment that will pass all too soon. lol
7. Read some lovely bittersweet Whofic.
8. Started a new novel.

Nothing earth-shattering, but it's nice to feel like you've made some progress in the little life details.
