I haven't updated my books list in a while. So, here are the latest.

I've been on a bit of a YA kick lately. The first two I saw recommended in someone else's LJ and decided to check out.

#58 is The Winter Prince by Elizabeth E. Wein (Apr07). A YA that takes an unusual spin on the Arthurian world as told from the pov of Medraut (Mordred). Very atmospheric. [livejournal.com profile] muffinkath7, I think you might like it.

#59 is Winter Rose by Patricia A. McKillip (Apr07). Another highly atmospheric YA, this one deals with the themes of Tam Lin. The hallmarks of this book are incredibly vivid writing that delights and unsettles the reader. I recommend it.

#60 is Hand-Me-Down by Lee Nichols (Apr07). A chick lit that deals with the youngest of three sisters who spent her formative years with hand-me-downs from her older sisters. In her adulthood, that translates to an almost obsessive-compulsive need for "new" and "unused". So, what happens when she finds herself falling for a guy who used to date one of her sisters? Read and find out.

#61 is The Mislaid Magician or Ten Years After by Patricia C. Wrede and Caroline Stevermer (Apr07). This is the third in the Sorcery and Cecilia series and continues the epistolary story. A fun romp that includes various observations about domestic life, ley lines, and a plot to subvert the British monarchy.

And that brings us to the end of our latest update. Please tune in later for additional submissions. We now return you to your regularly scheduled reading.

Thanks! I'll check it out. I'm always looking for new books for my classroom library.
