Update

Hi all.  2008 continues to be challenging, but there have been positive developments on the Angela front.  G got a job which is a big plus.  He just completed his first week and lived to tell about it.  However, it's in a completely different field and that presents some unique stresses. Also, because of his schedule I get to do all the child-related driving now.  Last Tuesday, I'd driven 100 miles by noon.  The day before that I had to do 4 roundtrips to school.  Varsity winter sports schedules might drive me a little crazy.   N got her cast off, but E broke his wrist a few days before and is in one now.  His mental heath is better though. I'm also happy to report the kitty hasn't had a relapse and that's definitely good.  He's my baby.[Poll #1310811][Poll #1310811]

I do sugar cookies later. I find they if we decorate them, no one wants to eat them and they get stale by Xmas.

As I posted, my first we some delicious eggnog cookies and meringues. Mmmmm.

Cookies don't last too long around here. One of the side effects of 4 kids.

It ended up that my daughter made gingerbread folk. I took a long nap which was nice. I guess I haven't completely recovered from my ailment yet.

I definitely vote for the lemon cookies (my faves). If they're good, I want the recipe.

Glad to hear G. got a job. I hope he ends up loving it, but sorry to hear it's meant more pressure on you. :(

Thanks for checking in. I worry about you when we don't hear what you're up to, especially after you were gone for so long last time and the news was all bad. You sound busy, but better, so I'm glad to hear it.

The lemon cookie recipe looks good. I'll let you know if it turns out well and will send the recipe along.

You particularly would appreciate the stresses of G's new job. He's now the high school math teacher of a local charter school. He has two geometry classes, one Algebra II, one electronics, and a study skills class. He was a math major in college, so he feels pretty good about those classes, but the electronics is daunting. Plus, he's taking over classes where the previous teacher was let go for inadequate classroom management. We'll see how it goes.

Thanks for being concerned. It's been a tough past few months, but I'm hoping for better times in '09.

I'm excited for you about your possible move. I think that a change would be great. I've always heard great things about Vancouver. It's on my list of places I'd love to visit.

I'm just going to echo Kath, and also say it's lovely to see your pixels. *hugs*
