Apr. 15th, 2005 09:32 pmSince I've been tagged twice by
emluv and

1) Total volume of music files on my computer.
4 gigabytes
2) The last cd that I bought was...
Keane Hopes and Fears. I'm thinking that I'll try The Decemberists next.
3a) The last song I listened to before writing this was...
The Cocteau Twins Ivo
3b) Song playing right now:
Radiohead Creep
4) Five songs I listen to a lot or that mean a lot to me:
I think I'll go with songs that mean a lot to me.
1) Tempted by Squeeze-- Pretty much anything from Argybargy actually. This is a track from the soundtrack of my freshman year of college. I got out of the rural South, was released from the tyranny of Top 40 radio, and discovered the joys of alternative music. It was a life-altering year in many, many ways.
2) Purple Rain by Prince--Saw him in concert with 2 of my roommates a few days after he won his Academy Award. He's a simply amazing live performer and the night was magical. Hearing it brings back incredible memories of a very specific time of my life. I saw Prince on his most recent tour and he's still an amazing performer. Not quite as athletic, but he can still maneuver quite well in those stack heeled boots.
3) One More Night by Phil Collins--I fell in love to it. For keeps. Nuff said.
4) Angie by the Rolling Stones-- My song.
5) Four Green Fields--It's a traditionally bittersweet Irish ballad and when I was young my dad would sing it while playing his mandolin. I think of him whenever I hear it.
4b) Five albums that I listen to a lot or that mean a lot to me.
1) August and Everything After by the Counting Crows
2) Treasure by Cocteau Twins
3) Fumbling Towards Ecstasy by Sarah McLachlan
4) Parachutes by Coldplay
5) X-Files movie soundtrack
5) Which 5 people are you passing the baton on to and why?
Since I hate chain letters, I'll pass on singling anyone out. But, feel free to gak if the spirit moves you.
