Three day weekends are indubitably one of the great pleasures of life. I had a thoroughly slothful weekend staying up way too late and sleeping just as late. Today there was a potluck at our community pool. I love occasions that allow me to eat elsewhere and not have to clean up my kitchen afterward. :)

I'm looking at the last two weeks of semifreedom before the kids get out of school for the summer. It's funny. I look back and remember that my mother never seemed as excited about the advent of summer vacation as I did. I understand that point of view much, much better now. lol I do love my kids, but I also love not having them home 24/7. On the other hand, not having to drive 50-100 miles a day like I have to when school is in session, isn't something that I'll miss. The tradeoffs of adult life. :)

Okay, random question for anyone who might read my journal. Did anyone see Wicker Park and if so, is it worth renting? I got one of the songs from the soundtrack from

audiography (The Postal Service's cover of Against All Odds) and I'm intrigued. So, other than the hotness of Josh Hartnett, is there anything else to recommend it?
