Quick book update
May. 8th, 2006 12:59 amI'm up much too late, but wanted to get this down while I was thinking of it. It was apparently my mini-Indian weekend. lol #33 is The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri. Another look at Indians in the United States but this one is a generational look at three members of a family. Poignantly deals with what it means to be a foreigner in a strange land and also with what shapes our identities and sense of self. I might have gotten frustrated with Gogol at times, but the book is well worth reading.
Now, to bed I go so that I can get the kids up for school in six hours. Night all. :)
