Since the next three days will be a blur of freelance work in time for my late Wednesday night deadline, I managed to get one more book read today after cutting my half-acre lawn in 90ish degree weather. Okay, the fact that it's due tomorrow at the library also may have influenced my decision-making. ;)
Anyway, #59 was The Amber Room by Steve Berry. A competent thriller, although I guessed the ending very early on. This was a first book, so I'll at least check out one more by the author to see if he improves. I am fond of books that play with history however.
Also, I watched a movie tonight for the first time in virtually forever and really enjoyed it. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang with Robert Downey, Jr. and Val Kilmer. Sort of a film noir twist on the buddy movie. ( General overview of the film ) I recommend it.
