The sounds of silence
G and the boys left very, very early this morning to head out to Idaho for a rafting trip on the Salmon River with G's mother, sister, and other extended family. J's best friend's bat mitzvah is this weekend so she couldn't go and I didn't think N was old enough yet. As for me, I don't like being cold or wet, so the combo really wasn't appealing. Plus, being trapped in the wilderness with the inlaws. Well, you get the idea. Put 'em together and you can see why I opted out as well.
You simply would not believe how much quieter it is at my house without the guys. It's me and the girls for the next week and we're going to indulge in girly things while they're away. Nothing exciting, but fun. They both got Old Navy gift cards from their aunt for their birthdays, so we're shopping tomorrow. I'm thinking a trip to Blockbuster for chick flicks might be on the agenda for tomorrow as well. Grrrrl power baby! It's where it's at around here for the next week. :)
