Flyby posting

Just wanted to update with my latest books. I've slowed down precipitously lately as I've had several freelance projects to finish up. But, here are a trifling few to add to the list.

After reading The Giver last week I went on a mini Lois Lowry kick.

#86 is The Messenger by Lois Lowry. In the same universe as The Giver but set in the future. Now I have to read Gathering Blue which I think falls chronologically in the middle.

#87 is Find A Stranger, Say Goodbye also by Lois Lowry. I loved this when I was a teenager and had completely forgotten about it. I had no idea that she'd written it and only found it when I was using my library's online catalog. So, I checked it out for nostalgia's sake and still enjoyed it. It's nice when a childhood love stands the test of time. :)

#88 is The Unsung Hero by Suzanne Brockman. Action/adventure/romance fic written by a woman. I'd seen this author recommended by several people and decided to check it out. I'm engaged enough that I'll check out the next one chronologically. Maybe I'll get a couple for the plane.

New television season reactions thus far. I liked Studio 60 well enough that I'll tune in again next week although I don't think it lived up to the frenzied hype. Matthew Perry was a very pleasant surprise. He's so identified with Chandler that it was eye-opening to see him do a role that isn't anything at all like Chandler. Smith doesn't really do it for me which is a pity because Simon Baker and Jonny Lee Smith do. lol Jericho is interesting so far and I'll set the DVR to tape that next week when I'm in Ireland. (And by the way, the DVR rocks. Commercial skip and I are already soulmates!) Tomorrow is the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy in addition to being G's birthday.
