With special mentions given to Scott Westerfeld's Uglies/Pretties/Specials trilogy and Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy.
For Fun
Jasper Fforde's Nursery Crimes series
Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series
Kage Baker's Novels of the Company series
Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden series

#1 The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman (Jan/07). The final entry in the His Dark Materials trilogy. Still incredibly bittersweet and I was right to think that I'd missed some of the subtleties the first time through.
