Now, to the books.
#45 is Jimmy Stewart: A Biography by Marc Eliot. The biographer got a little hot for the psychosexual explanation, but I loved all the trivia about old Hollywood and I've always loved Jimmy Stewart. I got weepy when I read the following about tributes made to Stewart after his death. "...the second was from Karolyn Grimes, who played little Zuzu in that grand Capra film, whose petals represented the essence of life itself to young George Bailey. In her sixties when she heard of Jimmy's passing, she said, simply, "I think there will be bells ringing tonight."
Now, that's an epitaph.
#46 is Venus Envy by Shannon McKelden. This turned out to be one of De's clients which I didn't realize beforehand. Venus aka Aphrodite has been sent to Earth to serve as a fairy godmother as punishment for her behavior on Mt. Olympus. Throw in a "Cinderella" who has been badly burned numerous times before and a hunky Charming who's Mr. March in the firefighter's calendar and you have a fun little chick lit to while away the time.
