Holiday stuff
Dec. 13th, 2007 01:43 pmHave you ever noticed that even when you think you're on top of holiday preparations something manages to sneak up on you? I finally got started on my Christmas cards yesterday and 60+ cards later (some of which also include a holiday letter which had to be written and a photo of the family that needed to be printed and all of which include a short message written inside) I managed to get them all mailed today. I won't even tell you how much the postage was because it's a scary number. Those of you on my flist who get cards from me, don't worry. I didn't burden you with the letter and the picture. :) I love getting cards, but I always forget how much work and money they are to send out. Hopefully those who receive them will appreciate them. It's out of my hands now. Literally.
I also just ordered for the last person on my list which the kindly elves at Amazon will wrap and ship directly for me. So, I think that means that I'm done. With the exception of the remainder of things that need to be done for E's 16th birthday on Saturday. I'm going to go order his cake and make dinner reservations in just a little while for that.
So, I think this means that I need to move to the holiday baking portion of the agenda. Hmmm. Mexican wedding cookies (known by some as Russian Tea Cakes) sound pretty good right now. And may be some fudge.
I hope that all of you are much further ahead in the holiday game than I am! Now if we could just get some more seasonal weather...
