angela_oIt's hard to believe that the summer has come and gone. Mine was a blur of swim practices, swim meets, and generally ferrying children hither and yon. Now, they're back in school and I actually have the prospect of some alone time. Unlike last year, when I was mildly melancholy about that, this year I'm thrilled. What a difference a year makes. I love my children, but there can truly be too much of a good thing.
Now I'm faced with the prospect of a Jossless tv universe. It's very odd. I got sucked back into one of my first great tv loves this summer, The X-Files, and have managed to accumulate almost every season on dvd and while that will fill some of the void, there isn't much new that appeals to me. I think I may check out Lost this fall, but beyond that, I'm not sure. I've always been a quintessential tv viewer and it feels strange to be so disconnected. I'm not sure I'm ready to identify myself as a post-television individual.
