angela_oWell, we survived I-95 North yesterday. Though there were times when I felt like the trip would never end. It was the first time in my life that I'd seen people get out of their cars while traveling on the interstate to walk around as traffic was deadstopped. Luckily, it didn't appear to be an injury accident that caused the backup.
Thankgiving turned out to be a lovely holiday. I had some apprehension prior as most of my family were happy about the outcome of the presidential election and I most decidedly was not. But, politics did not arise in conversation. Definitely something to give thanks for. Most importantly, my sister had her first child two days before Thanksgiving, so I got to snuggle with a newborn. You forget how tiny they really are when they first arrive.
Now, I'm deep in the throes of getting ready for Christmas. We returned from out trip with a lot of gifts, so they need a place to congregate together and be of good cheer. I think that I'll take M and N tomorrow after school to pick out a tree. I do so love the smell of fir in the house.
Last, but certainly not least, if there is at least one person in your life who you consider a close friend, and who you would not have met without being part of an online fandom, post this sentence in your journal.
