I'm trying to be a little more rigorous about making entries in the hope that I can overcome this hesitation that I have regarding journaling. So, just some random comments on my day.

There was a plethora of Carolina Blue and Tar Heels t-shirts to be seen in and around Chapel Hill today. Apparently approximately 45,000 people converged on Franklin Street to celebrate the NCAA championship win. Surprisingly there was relatively little mayhem and vandalism.

I met my college roommate for lunch today at a great German bakery/cafe in Durham (who knew that such a thing was possible?) where we sat out in the sunshine and caught up with each other's lives.. The cream puff was luscious. Plus, it was really nice to see J. again. We don't live very far away from each other, but our we seldom see each other in person. At least we're still really comfortable with each other when we do.

I actually remembered to watch Veronica Mars tonight and found it engrossing. The identity of the person behind the harassment wasn't really a surprise, but I thougt the show did a very nice job intercutting the multiple storylines.  I also noticed that Veronica and Logan seem to have a love theme in the background of their scenes.. I wonder if this is a relatively new development?  Since my viewing has been spotty, I'm just not sure.  I'll definitely have to check out the first season dvds when they're released.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that UPN gives it a second season pickup. Since the show seems to be a media darling, it might be worth it to the network to keep it around just for the critical legitimacy it bestows. *fervently hopes*

Finally, I'm very pleased to announce that spring has arrived. The red buds and plum trees are in full bloom and tulips are opening as well. N. keeps saying that the trees look like "pink popcorn trees". I've always loved fall most of all the seasons, but spring is truly resonating with me this year. Maybe because this past winter seemed to drag on for longer than usual.

Hey Angela!

I'm pretty sure they're going the love/hate angle with Veronica and Logan. I can't wait. He has totally grown on me. I'm sure you don't, but here's some trivia for you? Do you recognize Logan from Roswell? He had a guest shot...:)

No, I don't remember him, although he actually looks a cross between Devon Gummersall and that guy who they got to play Khivar. I guess it's true that the memory space formerly allocated to Roswell is now being used for other things. lol

Who was he?

He was the delivery guy who delivered to Alex right before Alex died. He later gave Liz information that led her to believe that his death wasn't an accident.

My turn to spam you ;)

I don't watch Veronica Mars - I wish I did. Everyone seems to like it. I was bored by the pilot, so I never came back to it, but who knows? It must have improved? But anyway - it IS a total media darling. UPN would have to be nuts to cancel it because it is right up there with Desperate Housewives and Lost as one of the most critically acclaimed shows of the year.

But spam is so tasty...;)

I didn't start watching VM with the pilot, so I've never actually seen it. I've only caught a few random episodes, but what I have seen, I've very much enjoyed. It's a little quirky and offbeat and the casting is very good. You might want to give it another go when the dvds come out. Although I'm not sure when that will be exactly.

Funny you should mention DH as one of the buzz shows. I tried to watch the pilot of that and gave up after the first 10 minutes. It was entirely too over the top for me.

Aw, that's so cute! It sounds lovely, Angela. And like a very bad time of year for me to visit you if the tulips are coming out, LOL! There are few things nicer than falling back into a comfortable space with a good friend. :-)
hugs, Tas
