For all of you expecting more VM ramblings, not this time. I actually went to the dentist today because I had to get a filling. After a bad experience with my last filling nearly 4 years ago involving needing 5 shots of novocaine before I couldn't feel the drilling and still sort of being able to feel it, I sort of avoided going back for anything. Yes, I know that's a stupid thing to do. But, I did it anyway. I took my children to their dentist mind you, I just didn't see mine. Luckily, the dentist that I saw today apparently knows what he's doing. Only one shot and no drilling pain. Although, how is it possible that someone hasn't come up with a drill that doesn't make that high-pitched, shrill, reverberates inside your skull until you feel like your brain is going to leak out of your ear noise? I shudder just thinking about it.

In a drastic change of subject, how many of you are going to see Revenge of the Sith in the next few days? I've been strongarmed into going to the midnight showing tomorrow with a large group of friends. I hope that it isn't incredibly depressing, but when Lucas says that it's a tear-jerking, depressing movie, I guess I shouldn't hold my breath.

You're not the only one who is filled with dread when it comes to the dentist. I had good dental hygiene growing up and was never very afraid. But then I lost my health insurance and haven't been to the dentist in over 3 years. And when I can afford it again, and start going back, I just KNOW I am going to get the lecture. You know the lecture. I haven't been flossing, yadda yadda yadda. I'm scared of what they'll say to me! :)

I must be the only one alive not that excited about SW3. Everyone I know keeps talking about it and I'm just not that into it. I didn't see the other two until they came on HBO. If I get invited, I'll go but I'm just not that stoked abotu it.

I'm not exactly excited for the movie either. One of my friends is as apprehensive as I am and didn't want to go unless I went along so that we could sit together and cover our eyes at the disturbing stuff. Of course, I stayed up until 2 last night so I'll be going into the experience sleep deprived. That might improve the experience. lol

heh. I have tickets to see it at midnight as well ;) So we'll have to talk about it on Thursday!

I'm actually more nervous than excited about it. I've been let down twice, and even though this one is getting good reviews, I don't want to get my hopes up only to have them crushed. *shrugs* So I guess we'll see.

Ditto on the dentist hating. I haven't been in about 3 years either.

I never saw Phantom Menace, but I did enjoy the second. The problem was that I was most invested in the relationship (although I did find the stylistic elements and the stagemanaging of the Emperor to be fascinating) and GL has all the emotional maturity of a 12 year old boy when it comes to handling relationship issues. And not a with it 12 year old boy at that. So, I'm sure more painfully stilted dialogue is on the way. Plus, as I learned the hard way with the last LotR movie, just because you *can* do something with CGI doesn't mean that you *should* do something with CGI. I doubt that's a lesson Lucas has internalized either.

We'll definitely need to touch base tomorrow.
