Why?

Why did I decide at 11 o'clock last night that it was a good idea to start watching the BSG miniseries dvd when I knew that I was scheduled to see the midnight showing of Revenge of the Sith tonight? Anyone? Bueller? Not to say that I didn't enjoy the miniseries. It was very well done. In fact, it was significantly better than I thought it would be. But, perhaps it would have been just a bit smarter to watch it in daylight hours. Or at least in night hours that didn't have single digits in front of the colon. You'd think my maturity level would have increased by this point. ::headdesks::

The 9am meeting tomorrow morning to get the interpretive results of E's testing is going to be that much more fun. Here's to hoping I can manage 4 hours of sleep tonight. *crosses fingers*

Because I know that you're dying to know. ;) It's up to 16 now. I had no idea that there were so many of them around until I was sensitized to them by watching VM. It's just not a color I can imagine people anyone choosing voluntarily. lol

There have been 2 in Henderson. *That* is scary. I had the same reaction -- told husband that I did *not* understand what was so appealing about a banana colored car.

It's absolutely *not* an appealing color. On the other hand, I think it gets you lower insurance rates since it gets high marks from the Highway Safety folks for visibility. But, still. Garish yellow? A serious fashion don't.

You make me giggle. Dude, where do you live?!? I haven't seen any XTerras in Portland, and you've got me looking with your count! There are a lot of ugly yellow cars, though. A shocking number. Seriously, who needs a bright yellow, square-topped station wagon?

And why do we stay up so late? It's a question for the ages. It's usually silly books for me. You know you'll regret it in the morning, but for some reason it is necessary to read this right now. Screw adulthood - instant gratification, baby!

I live in the Research Triangle area of NC. Specifically Durham. There are certainly more of those yellow XTerras plying the highways and byways than I ever would have suspected. I'm surprised that you haven't seen any in Portland. When I was last out there (my m-i-l lives there) SUV's were everywhere. Although Subaru Outbacks seemed like the go to car.

As for staying up late, for me it's a combination of things. I'm a night owl by nature and it's the only time that I get alone time. With 4 kids and a husband you learn to treasure those moments whenever they present themselves.

Plus, I do get sucked in to whatever I'm doing. Sure I can read a little fanfic before bedtime. Oops. There goes 2 hours. Oh, I'll just check LJ one more time before shutting the computer down. There goes another hour. Just one more chapter of my book. Okay, just one more. Well, I'm this close, I may as well finish it. lol

But, I certainly don't bounce back from minimal sleep like I did when I was in my 20's that's for sure. Not quite night of the living dead material, but I could make a good stand in.

Heh. I'm the same way in the evening. Makes mornings hard. There's a bit of irony in my screen name. (morning sun)

Yeah, it's a mystery of Portland that I don't see more yellow XTerras. It's certainly an SUV capital, although I think there's a much higher per capita SUV ratio in LA. If I'd been this Logan-aware when I was in LA for work over the last 7 months, I'm sure I would have a very high count to post!

Wow...you and I are REALLY going to be in the same boat tomorrow. I have to work at 9am as well, so...heh. I'm going to be drinking lots of coffee and try to stay sane.

We'll have to check in with each other tomorrow evening. See how our sanities are ;)

But if you were entirely mature and sensible, you'd be someone else and far less fun. ;-) Good luck staying awake tonight (though I suspect you won't have any trouble), and have a good time!

Way to make me feel better about my immature choices. That's being a good friend. :)
