After being downright critical of the show for the past couple of weeks (phrases like "lost creative momentum" and "bored now" might have been employed, they managed to come up with a truly excellent episode last night. I didn't catch who the writer was for the ep. Does anyone know off the top of their heads?
Yes, I'm as shocked as the rest of you about that. lol Exodus was a *good* episode. Easily one of the strongest outings of the season. The flashbacks weren't obtrusive and served to make the characters more accessible and even occasionally sympathetic. The plotlines in the present actually moved forward. There were elements of humor which mixed in seamlessly. The character interactions (and requisite acting) were very well done. *And* I didn't actually root for Jack to die in a grisly fashion. I kind of liked him last night for what may be the first time since sometime last October. The scene between he and Sawyer was quite powerful.
Mind you, I could still live quite happily if Kate went to the big jungle island in the sky, but even she was less annoying last night. Nice job everyone. I'm even sort of looking forward to the finale last week. At this time last week, the thought that I'd say that was somewhere past improbable and well on the way to ludicrous.
ETA Because I'm sure you were dying to know. ;) Another two bringing us to a grand total of 18.
