The lazy days of summer

Aren't really as lazy as I'd like. lol Swim team practice runs from 7am to 10:30 with each kid at a different time. Luckily, my husband can take the older two who have the earlier practices when he leaves in the morning. But, the days of no "alarm clock summertime" haven't arrived at my house yet and won't until sometime after July 9th when summer championships are over. This whole adulthood thing is not exactly how I envisioned it while in my youth. ;)

Otherwise, not a whole lot going on at the moment although that's about to change. D and her girls arrive on Wednesday afternoon and will be here until Saturday. We're going to do a lot of hanging out by the pool and I think we may check out the Sarah P. Duke gardens. We also have tickets to the Bulls game on Friday night whre there will be fireworks after the game. I'm a sucker for night baseball and fireworks. lol Then Sunday is Father's Day, followed by my anniversary on Monday, and a visit next Wednesday from my father-in-law who's coming so that he can go to one of the kids' swim meets. Busy, busy, busy.

Work has gotten so crazy I hardly have time to breathe. But my much-needed vacation is less than two weeks away now, so I can handle anything!

Your summer sounds wonderful and summer-like, in spite of all the hectic plans. Enjoy!

What's the countdown to your date with the City of Lights? I've always wanted to see Paris so I'm planning on some vicarious enjoyment. :)
