Today is my wedding anniversary and I realized that I've been married for as long as I lived at home before leaving for college. My dad and I left to drive me to New Haven on the morning of my 18th birthday and today is my 18th anniversary. For some reason that symmetry really resonated with me.

G and I went to see a matinee of Mr. and Mrs. Smith today to celebrate. Yes, we're going with low key this year. lol The movie was much funnier than I expected it to be and we both enjoyed it a lot. Of course, G said as we were leaving that it probably wasn't the best movie to see on your anniversary, but I pointed out (somewhat tongue in cheek) that they at least worked through the rough spots in their marriage. lol Not to mention Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are ridiculously beautiful to look at which was a plus. Gotta love Vince Vaugh as well. He's a great character actor.

Anyway, hope today is treating you all as well as it's treating me. :)

Stopping by for a belated Happy Anniversary!!

Glad to hear you enjoyed the movie. My sister really liked it, too. She said it would probably be one of her favorite movies ever if she weren't angry with Brad and Angelina for the Brad's marriage thing. Which is really funny because she's not fannish or nutty about celebs in the slightest, but pop culture seeps into our pores whether we intend it to or not . . .

The whole Brad marriage thing didn't really bother me. I suspect that his relationship with his wife was hitting the skids long before he made this movie. The fault lines in that relationship predated Angelina. Which is not to say that there aren't celebs with whom I have serious issues. I flat out refuse to see a movie if Tom Cruise is in it. He seriously creeps me out and has for years. The latest bout of midlife schizophrenia is just the icing on the weirdo cake as far as I'm concerned. lol

How long until the big trip? Is the work load still insane?
