E- Easiest person to talk to: Hmmm. I'm not sure. Probably a tossup between one of my sisters and my college roommate.

F- Favorite ice cream: I'm not a huge ice cream fan, but if I had to pick it would be the sadly discontinued Ben and Jerry's Cool Brittania.

G- Gummy worms or gummy bears? Neither.

K- Kids: Yes, four. Two boys and two girls.

L- Longest car ride: Probably our move from MN to NC. It was a multiple days of driving trip.

M- Mom's name: Gwenda.

N- Nicknames: Angie.

O- One wish: To be debt-free and financially very stable.

P- Phobia: I don't know that I have any fullblown phobias, although I do have a slight fear of exposed heights. Though that doesn't stop me from riding roller coasters. :)

X- X-rays you've had: More than I would have liked. Let's see, lots of dental x-rays, full back scans at least twice, chest x-rays multiple times (bronchitis), left arm (broke in jr. high), left ankle (bad sprain), mammograms.

I still can't wrap my head around anyone associating "Angie" with you, lol. The song okay, but not as a fullblown nick to use. It's like when I heard Anne's dad call her Annie. There's just the urge to yell, "NO!" :D

It's funny because you can more or less date how long someone has known me by what they call me. Basically, anyone who met me up to my graduation from college calls me Angie including all of my family and my husband's family. But, anyone who has met me since then calls me Angela because that's how I introduced myself when I got married and started working in publishing. Well, except my college roommate who called and still calls me Angieloo but every rule needs an exception. lol

Greg calls me Angie and there are a few friends of his who call me that because that's how they've heard Greg refer to me and I admit that I find it jarring because they don't fit into the timeframe and Angela is who I am now. Angie is my childhood name I guess. ;)

Although Rob and Dino's drunken serenades featuring The Stones version of Angie under my living room window are very entertaining college memories. :)

Suddenly I feel less crazy for feeling more like a Tas now, lol. I'm not sure I'd *want* anyone to serenade me with a Toto song. O_o Actually, I don't think I've ever been serenaded. I've been the serenader, though. :D

This is fun, and now I know more about you! Summer has kind of swallowed me up and I haven't been very active online, but I thought I'd say HI!

Read your comments about "Angie". I have a similar group of people who call me "Aly". I've never liked the name, but I had a good friend in college who firmly attached that name to me. I adapted to it, but it always took me by surprise when one of **her** people called me Aly. They hadn't really earned the right, you know? Generally, I'm strictly "Alyson". "Addie" to my niece and nephew.

I like your spelling of Alyson. I was going to use it as a name, but with the two l's usage. I think I prefer your version though. Ah, we of the A names...

Are you counting down the days until the VM season premiere yet? There have been a lot of yellow XTs lately. Actually, a frightening number. lol

Thank you! I have my mom to thank. She says she ruminated long and hard over how to spell my name once she decided what it would be. She finally chose Alyson because the 'y' makes it (or made it, now, probably) a little bit unique, and because it doesn't have any "wasted letters." She always says two l's is Awl-yson. :o)

Hee. Yes -- Well, I've been told there are 48 1/2 days as of now. I'm okay right now, I guess, but I'll be crazy in about 40 days! How about you? Still immersed in your other fandoms, or are you getting VM antsy?

48 1/2 days huh? lol I'm not feeling terribly antsy for VM at the moment although I am looking forward to the season beginning. But, I think that's because I have BSG to feed my immediate pop culture viewing needs and also because my life is incredibly hectic otherwise. I still have one more big trip to get ready for (northern MI a week from Saturday) as well as the beginning of the school year for my kids as well as wrapping up a big freelance project. All those have to get done before the VM premiere.

The kids go back to school on my 40th birthday. I say that the universe is trying to give me a gift. lol Then a couple of days later a friend and I are heading to Atlanta for Dragon*Con. I've never done one before so that should be interesting.
