It's warm and sunny today and my mood seems to be rising with the barometer these days. I just finished mowing the lawn for the first time this season and there's something intrinsically satisfying about doing that. It's one of the few tasks in my life that has a definite beginning and end and that no one can come behind me and undo. Catharsis for the modern wife and mother.

I've never been a aficionado of spring, fall holds my heart, but after the winter that has just past and the stresses of the the past six months, it is making my heart glad this year.
