It's June 1st and I didn't make it to 50. I do have #47 and #48 though. I slacked off a little the last couple of days. Evening summer league swim team practice takes a big chunk out of my available time. *sigh*

Anyway, it got hot, so I wanted some fun reading. #47 is a beach book by the queen of beach books. Blue Dahlia by Nora Roberts. So, she has a template of 3 leading men and reuses them. They work. If it ain't broke...

#48 is All American Girl by Meg Cabot. I'm not sure if I like them quite as much as her Princess Diary series, but still engaging and entertaining. I'm currently reading the sequel.

I think I'm going to keep track for the entire calendar year. A few years ago my local library had a Centennial Celebration and they had a contest for patrons to read 100 books for the centennial. I did that, so it would be fun to see how many I can get this year.

The summer is going pretty well. Swim team takes up a lot of time, but that will get easier when the kids get out of school next week and practice switches from evenings to mornings.

How are you doing? I've been wondering how life is treating you. Did you enjoy the finale of VM?

I didn't know you were aiming for June 1st! LOL!! Isn't June 30th the 6 month mark? Or was there a specific reason for June 1st? *glances at my measly 15 books* I still say you did good!

I was just at 46 and set a mental goal to try to make it by the end of May. But, then I got lazy and swim team ate up a lot of available time. I mean, I could have plowed through 4 days on the 31st, but it would have been tedious and reading is supposed to be fun, so I let it go. You've gotta love self-imposed pressure. lol
