angela_oPlease forgive me for a moment as I indulge in a little TWOP ranting. You know what I find most pernicious about the site? The fact that one of its principal tenets is that users run to tell the mods about what they perceive to be "posting violations" made by others complete with links to the post in question. It's a little fascist police state. Yes, some of the recaps are hilarious and there is scintillating discussion to be found. But, I find the entire culture of running to tattle on your fellow posters to be offensive and counterproductive. Why people want to devote that much effort to narcing on their peers rather than just having a discussion is beyond me. That sort of behavior is not attractive in small children and it becomes orders of magnitude less attractive in people who are supposedly adults. Although, I have to say that the Germans would have loved them during the Vichy years.
