I've broken into three digits as of yesterday.
#100 is Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry. I had to finish out the sequence started with The Giver and since I love YA, it seemed appropriate to go with that for my 100th book. Not as strong as the first in the series, but still an interesting alterate version of what a post-apocalyptic future could be. I thought that the portion of the song that is treated as nonsense words, but is actually city names broken into syllables and regrouped was a nicely chilling touch.
#101 is Northern Lights by Nora Roberts. I was in the mood for a little brain candy today and this admirably filled that role.
In other news, my monitor died on Tuesday and today was my return to onlineness (onlineity? I like making up words.). So, hello internets. It's good to see you again. Plus, the new monitor is a 19" flatscreen. Things look much bigger now. But, none of you do I promise. ;)

Date: 2006-10-20 07:23 am (UTC)Glad to hear you've found a monitor solution. My computer has been acting up, and I am not very happy about it!! I'm under an extended warantee, so they replaced the hard drive with no problem, but it's still acting crazy. Ugh. You know, as much as I'm an information systems professional, I know shamefully little about the insides of my computer. Tonight the wireless won't connect, so I had to **gasp** plug in a cable!!!
So welcome back to onlinety, and wish my luck in my continued onlineaucity. ;-)
