A couple of books

I wanted to get these down before I forget about them. A proper Christmas wrap up post will come later.
#130 is Thunderstruck by Erik Larson. This is the latest by the author of The Devil in the White City. The parallel story of Marconi and the invention of wireless communication and the Dr. H. H. Crippen, a mild mannered murderer who was apprehended because of wireless. While not nearly as engrossing as DitWC, it was worthwhile from a historical standpoint.
#131 is The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman. This was a reread. I read the trilogy a couple of years ago, but felt that there was more to be gleaned. I think I missed a lot of the subtleties initially. I need to request the next two from the library.
Now, I have to wait for J to finish New Moon so I can get my hands on that. *rubs palms together in anticipation*
Did any of you get any books for Christmas that you can't wait to delve into?
