The Weekend

Today is the day that I once again get to ride herd on the kids to make them do their weekly cleaning. Why does this not get any simpler from week to week? It's not like the chore descriptions go through some magical transformation. Not one of my favorite parts of parenting.
In happier news, I'm scheduled to get new mattresses today. Yes, I know that seems like a relatively unimportant thing, but it's something that we've needed to get for years now. Our old ones were at least 12 years old and had developed definite topological landscaping. I've got my fingers crossed that back pain upon waking will soon be a thing of the past. I have to head back upstairs in just a minute to continue cleaning my room in preparation for the delivery. Frightening things congregate under beds if given half a chance.
Before I go, #3 is Broken by Kelley Armstrong (Jan/O7). I think I prefer the Paige/Lucas books. This one was okay, but just okay. It was fine for whiling away the time waiting for J's basketball practice to end yesterday afternoon.
I'm going with a springish icon today given the fact that the temperature is supposed to be in the low 70s by this afternoon. It's almost disturbing how warm it is.
Happy Saturday everyone.
