It finally decided to get cold here and I'm not cut out for it anymore! Even in my cute winter sweater I'm shivering. Although, it is making Hawaii look that much more enticing by comparison. Three weeks from tomorrow people!
Book #12 is the entertaining Knitting Under the Influence by Claire LaZebnik(Jan/07). A chick lit, but one with well-rounded characters and a lot of emotion. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and everyone deserves happy endings every once in a while.
Now, I go out into the cold. It's only in the high 30's people! It was in the 70's early last week. Mother Nature certainly is unpredictable.

Date: 2007-01-27 12:38 am (UTC)I have been on an LJ sabbatical, but I'm back, and am glad to see you're doing well, surviving the cold, anticipating your trip, etc.!
I'm very grumpy at work today. I think I might go home and do some of my own knitting under the influence of a couple glasses of wine. ;-)

Date: 2007-01-27 04:23 am (UTC)Welcome back to LJlandia. I hope that you had a pleasant time on your sabbatical. How's life in the real world treating you? Are you still traveling a lot for business? Still watching BSG? If you are, can you tell me why aren't they using CKR more? It's a sin I tell ya!
Sorry to hear that you're grumpy today. Given your predisposition to drink and knit (and why am I hearing Dan Ackroyd from SNL doing his Julia Child impersonation and saying "Don't drink and knit!"?), I'm thinking you might enjoy Knitting Under the Influence. The end of the book has five original drink recipes that are named after patterns or items knitted during the course of the story. I thought it was a clever way to wrap things up.
