Being old pays off for me

It's nice to know that all that tv viewing during my formative years paid off. ;)
In happy news, it was officially announced today that Gilmore Girls will not be back for another season. Now, if I could just get confirmation that VM is canceled it would be a red letter day! But, if nothing else, I won't have to watch Luke and Lorelai be a couple again. Huzzah!
Finally,
#62 is Dating Dead Men by Harley Jane Kozak (Apr06). A fun mystery by a author who I first knew as a soap actress. The protagonist, whose name is Mary Wollestonecraft Shelley, (nicknamed Wollie) is an LA gift store manager and aspiring illustrator who stumbles into a murder mystery. Mayhem ensues. I'm currently reading the second in the series. You've got to love a character whose given name is Wollstoncraft. Her brother is named PB and given the last name you know that he'll eventually turn out to be Percy Bysse!

Date: 2007-05-06 04:10 am (UTC)GG hasn't been bad this year, I just hate L/L as a romantic pairing and the thought of having to watch their "middle" makes me throw up a little in the back of my mouth. So, I'm thrilled that it's no longer a possibility. Now I'm just biding my time waiting on VM news.

I'm not a L/L fan either. They were fun as friends, but I didn't like the romance. I wouldn't say that's the *reason* I stopped watching, but it was probably a factor.
As for VM, I haven't watched since the first episode of S3, so I can't say much about it. I've read some recaps and reactions to it, though, and I haven't felt like I'm missing anything. I'd rather keep S1 as a nice little unblemished gem in my mind.
