A title and other titles

angela_oNew kitty officially has a name. It was a difficult decision, but Phineas (nickname Finn) was the winner. This constitutes something of a break with tradition since all of our previous black cats had Gaelic names. However, we might be able to slide since Finn is Gaelic. Runners up in the name game were Eli (which G didn't like) and Oliver. Although, given what a wild child he's been the past few days, I think Devlin might have been a better choice.
I've also been on a reading kick lately. So, here are my latest titles.
#140 is The Off Season by Catherine Gilbert Murdock. This is the sequel to Dairy Queen and it definitely takes a darker turn than the original. Not what I expected and I'm curious to see if the author continues this series.
#141 is Tithe by Holly Black. The next three are all subtitled "a modern faerie tale". Black is a good world maker, but I can't decide if I find any of her characters truly likeable. Which I suppose is an accurate rendition of the world of the Fae. Definitely highly readable, but also somewhat unsettling.
#142 is Ironside by Holly Black.
#143 is Valiant by Holly Black.
#144 is No Humans Involved by Kelley Armstrong. Another in her "Women of the Otherworld" series. This one centers around Jaime Vegas, the neuromancer. An okay entry, but I have to say that I still prefer the books that feature Paige.
