That yellow meme background was starting to feel like a visual assault, so I decided that updating was my best defense. Things have slowed down some on the reading front as I'm waiting for the library to fulfill holds I've placed. But, I did pick up a chick lit to tide me over in the meantime. #55 is The Frog Prince by Jane Porter. A modern take on the perils of "happily ever after". The heroine relocates to San Francisco after her marriage falls apart. Her handsome French husband informs her on their honeymoon that he doesn't love her. I found the protagonist a little annoying at first as she wallowed in her "why did everything fall apart", but I'm glad I stuck with the book as I enjoyed it.

My poor Hurricanes didn't pull it out last night. Here's to hoping that they storm back to take one in Edmonton so that they can then wrap it up at home.
