The things we do for our kids
Aug. 1st, 2008 10:39 pm I'm currently in a strapless red satin cocktail dress waiting for "Psych" to end so that J and I can head out to Barnes and Noble for the midnight release party for "Breaking Dawn". She's in a black and white cocktail dress. She wanted me to wear the red so that we'd match the color scheme of the covers. B&N suggested formal wear for the event and I've got my fingers crossed that we're not the only ones to follow through on that little nudge. I can only imagine what sort of zoo it will be! Wish me luck!
Also, I took the kids to see "Mamma Mia" yesterday and N and I went to see "Kit Kittredge" today. I'm not a huge ABBA fan, but "Mamma Mia" was delightful. The girls and I thororoughly enjoyed it. M thought he was in a circle of Hell, but you can't please everyone. I highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a feel good film. The American Girl movie was better than I expected and the historical representation of the Depression was not bad. Abigail Breslin doesn't really cut it as a blonde, but that's a minor quibble. It was a good family film.
Now, I'm off to make the final touches to my ensemble for tonight's festivities.
