More holiday blather

Today my house smells like a combination of snickerdoodles and mulled cider with a little Fraser fir thrown in for good measure. This does not suck. :)
Why is it that you can say that you're done with all your Christmas shopping and yet you can still succumb to buying more if the opportunity presents itself? I went to Target last night. My first mistake. lol Ostensibly I was there to buy some odds and ends like whole cranberries and yet I manage to walk out with about $150 worth of miscellaneous stuff including more presents for the kids. I admit I couldn't resist cute pajamas for all of them. Our family tradition is that you can open one gift on Christmas Eve and it's often new pjs. I hadn't done that this year and the siren call of tradition was too strong for me. Plus my husband really needs a copy of Serenity. ;)
Of course the house still isn't clean, but I'm choosing to ignore that for now. As long as it's reasonably tidy before our guests arrive for dinner on Christmas Day, it's all good.
Now, my question for you all is what will you be eating for Christmas dinner? Here's what I'll be serving.
Ham
Homemade macaroni and cheese
Sweet potato casserole
Deviled eggs
Peas
Ambrosia
Cranberry Relish
Yeast Rolls
with assorted Christmas cookies, lemon bars, fudge, and a Yule Log (supposedly covered in chocolate ganache and decorated with meringue mushrooms and marzipan ivy) for dessert
