Best Film I saw in 2005
Hmmm. Tough call. Probably a toss up between The Constant Gardener and Batman Begins
Worst Film I saw in 2005
Hands down Revenge of the Sith. Ugh. George Lucas should use some of those millions to pay someone to write a decent screenplay.
Best TV show I watched in 2005
While I love VM, I think BSG is the best show going right now.
Best Book I read in 2005
The Great Influenza: The Epic Story of the Deadliest Plague in History by John M. Barry
My beach reading this past summer. It was somewhat uneven, but the descriptions of the impact of the disease and the growth of the field of epidemiology were equal parts chilling and fascinating.
Best Album I Listened to in 2005
Another tough call. I'd have to say Death Cab for Cutie's Transatlanticism. Yes, I'm slow. ;) I also really enjoyed the VM soundtrack.
Best Concert I Attended in 2005
Toss up between Coldplay (8th row!!) in September and Death Cab in October.
Best Fanfic I read in 2005
I think I'd have to say "The Shadow of His Wings" by Mirabella. It's a WIP that I will be very sad to see end even though I'm longing for an update. Honorable mention goes to "The Shoebox Project".

Best Food I ate in 2005
Dinner at Windows in Traverse City, MI.
All round best thing about 2005 on a personal front
Turning 40 was a very liberating experience and I celebrated it well and long. Dragon*Con anyone? lol
All round worst thing about 2005 on a personal front
Unpleasantness that is still unresolved with G's extended family due to our refusal to continue being put in dysfuntional interpersonal situations.
Person of the Year
I don't know if I have a choice for this.
Something 2005 should have taught you
Trying to decipher the motivations of the dysfunctional will only serve to make you crazy as well.
Why 2006 will be better than 2005
Because I've resolved to be a better advocate for myself and thus will avoid being put in situations that make me unhappy and resentful.
