Yes, we leave tomorrow to go to the House of Mouse. Disney World here we come. We're heading down with Greg's dad for a long weekend. The plan is to do the Magic Kingdom on Saturday, Disney MGM on Sunday (with dinner at the Brown Derby and tickets to Fantasmic), and probably back in the Kingdom on Monday before flying home. We'll be staying in the park at The Grand Floridian which means that we'll be on the monorail. I haven't been to Disney World in a very long time (although I've been to DisneyLand twice in the past decade) and the kids have never been so it should be a lot of fun. Of course, I still have to do all the packing and get the house tidied up so that the poor catsitter isn't horrified, but in the immortal words of Miss Katie Scarlett, "tomorrow is another day!" Fortunately, we don't have to be at the airport until about 2:45.
I hope that you all have a great weekend and that those who celebrate Mother's Day have a wonderful day.
#63 is Dating Is Murder by Harley Jane Kozak (May07). The sequel to Dating Dead Men. Wolly has new man trouble and also had to track down the missing au pair who was tutoring her in math while being a contestant on a low budget reality television show. More frothy entertainment. The third in the series is due to be published later this year.
#64 is Inkheart by Cornelia Funke (May07). This is the first in a YA trilogy and is my book club selection for this month. It was okay, but I definitely wasn't entranced. I picked up a copy of the sequel for my daughter last week while sorting donations for the book sale and while she very much enjoys the series, I'm not sure if I'll read more.
Speaking of sorting donations, I've been volunteering about 3 hours a weeks for the past several and me, in charge of sorting donations? Is analogous to having a junkie be the protector of the stash. I end up paying them money for the things that must come home with me. Although, I suppose there are much worse habits that I could have. ;)
